mystic sweep caps at +30...
youd do 1 less dmg with Victorious Sweep, wouldnt be dependant on haveing encahnts up for the dmg, no casting delay, and youd gain 77 health if your target was below 50% health
U could Spam Lyssa's Assault with 14 Scyth and actually gain energy... when you have an enchant up... cept for the 8 second recarge

Why would you ever run Myst that isnt a multiple of 3? 3/6/9/12/15- anything else is simply a waste of skill points. I'd def opt for Wind over Earth here. You dont make good use of Earth, and there is skills such as Mystic Vigor that can sub for Mystic Regen. Harrier's Grasp, Lyssa's Haste, and Featherfoot tho are all very, very useful skills. Not to mention Pious Resto.

I have to agree with the Victorious Sweep over Mystic. As a Dervish in PvP you'll have mesmers looking to strip you. It's easier to have a damage+ skill that isn't dependent on enchants for the + damage and the healing is nice too.

Mystic sweep has one single (yet great) advantage over Victorious, that is the attack time (twice as fast). If you're running some PVP utility build with Grenth or Ebon dust aura, you'll want fast attacks like Eremite's, Mystic Sweep or even distracting blow. You will do less damage but still a decent amount. At 16 scythe (my testing value) the average damage from a normal scythe attack against a 60 AL target is about 50.
If its PvP you're talking, then IMO enchants are not that reliable. Except for RA, I'd trust my monks and pack less self healing skills (Victorious sweep is a great one by itself). I'd personally go Melandru + Wearying + Victorious + Wild Blow as main damage dealing - but this is a matter of opinion.

Mystic Sweep 5..3/4..4
Victorious Sweep 5..0..4
how so is Mystic Sweep faster when it has a 3/4 activation time vs Victorious which has a 0 activation time
I'm a little confused about your entire post... heh... in the first paragraph your talking how mystic sweep is better for pvp and then in the second paragraph your talking about Victorious Sweep..
did you make a mistake?? the topic is for a PvP build.. and your condradicting yourself it seems

You misunderstand how attack skills work. Unless otherwise noted, an attack skill has the same swing time as a standard attack from the weapon. So, Victorious sweep doesn't have a 0 activation, it actualy has a 1.75 activation (though about half of that is after cast, I.E. recoil from swinging the scythe). Compare that to Mystic Sweep and Ermites Attack at .75 and they look pretty good.
Of course you could have always tried out both the skills yourself...

what is quite confusing and utter crap is how skills are listed at such...
you got victorious which displays as a no activation skill and then you have mystic which displays as a 3/4 sec activation skill... yet the skill that suposedly looks to be a faster 0 activation attack is actually slower than the 3/4 activation attack that doesnt get a "aftercast"...
according to that all skills with a 1 sec activation would also be faster than a 0 activation attack...
another aspect is that of corse other skills that don't list an activation are actually instant... and not all of them are stances... so...
anyways my rant
